Man caves, magic mirrors and more...

March 9, 2015

Home Shows give an insight into what interesting projects people are working on and where the new trends are in making a house a home.

This year, the interesting trend was making man caves - but with a difference.

No longer a bit of plywood for insulation, an old couch off the verge pickup and a rattly old bar fridge.  Now it seems the man cave has come of age, complete with quality finishes, appliances, state-of-the-art technology and even art that appeals to the man of the house.

The interesting feedback to us, was that despite wrought iron being seen as a traditional art form, there are many home owners who would love to have some wrought iron to complement their final design.

Our designs show people that even on a modern home, the right entrance, gate, balustrade or artwork in iron, can create some personality that reflects who you really are, which adds to the overall effect.

Our magic mirror on display at our stand (pictured), has now been installed to a client's home in Darling Downs, but demonstrates this point.  The artwork creates a focal point for the backyard, with the tree branches hugging a mirror.
