A new client came in over the 2017 Armadale HIlls Open Studio Art Trail to commission the piece shown for someone special in her life as a Christmas gift.
After selecting the eucalyptus decoration for a landscape panel, her and her husband were pleased to get this underway, as this person had passed away doing what he loved best - gardening.
On visiting the family member a few weeks later, they were amazed to see some Wayne Jeffery pieces in the same style on the kitchen table. It turned out this person loved these pieces and had purchased them a few years prior.
It made the delivery of the art panel for Christmas even more special, and a video of the moment of unwrapping the present was very emotional for the family - and us!
We have worked on a number of memorials and each has its own story and we feel privileged to work on for the family.
Also underway is a large Marri tree artwork that is currently being installed into Pinnaroo Cemetery, as they are opening up a new section in 2018. Plaques can be arranged on the tree leaves, as well as larger spaces at the base of the tree.
Wayne is creating a range of new memorial pieces for headstones and other memorials, as well as artworks that will hold ashes.
We are excited to now be working with registered stonemasons, who will be agents for Jalmer memorial artworks. Their operations cover all of Western Australia:
Statewide Memorials - covering Metro area, Mid Eastern and Northern WA
Albany Monumental Masons (Greater Southern WA),
Hancock Memorials (South West of WA)
They also provide commercial stone work (Alphine Australia), for paving, walling, paneling, benches, sculptures etc. using WA granite. Options will be available for table tops at the Jalmer Gallery.
A catalogue of products are now available.
All ironwork is made from recycled steel and is handmade.
